About Course

Samhita Vachana is our free weekly reading of the classical texts of Ayurveda. Series 1 covers the complete Charaka Samhita Siddhisthana, all 12 chapters, one chapter each Sunday, starting Sunday 18 October 2026. The Siddhisthana is the section of the Charaka Samhita devoted to Panchakarma: how the procedures are planned, performed, and corrected when they go wrong.

Each session follows the same three steps:

  • Vachana (reading): we read the sutra together, word by word.
  • Vitarka (reasoning): we work out why the sutra says what it says, and where it is commonly misread.
  • Vignyan (application): we look at an anonymised case from the AMRUT AYU CARE™ Panchakarma centres where the principle is applied.
