Before You Apply
Programs, format, certificates, fees, and how to apply.
Who are your programs for?
BAMS doctors, Ayurveda students at UG, PG, and PhD level, international learners, and wellness professionals. Each program lists its intended audience on the All Courses page.
Do I need a medical degree to join?
It depends on the program. The Panchakarma Certification is designed for BAMS doctors. The Foundation Ayurveda Course is designed for international learners. Tell us your background in the inquiry form and we will confirm which programs fit you.
Who teaches the courses?
Our founding faculty, Dr. Prashant Amrutkar (M.D. Ayurveda, PhD Scholar in Panchakarma) and Dr. Amruta Amrutkar (M.D. Ayurveda). For selected workshops, we invite specialist Vaidyas as guest faculty.
Are the courses online or in person?
Both, depending on the program. The Panchakarma Certification and PhD Research Mentorship are hybrid: online theory with on-site practical work. The Foundation Course and the workshops are on-site in Pune. Samhita Vachana is live online.
Where does the training take place?
In Pune, Maharashtra, across the five AMRUT AYU CARE™ clinics: Ghorpadi, Hadapsar, Wagholi, Kharadi, and Viman Nagar.
Will I work with real patients?
Yes, always under the supervision of a senior physician and with patient consent. BAMS doctors observe and assist in live procedures. International and non-clinical learners observe.
What language are classes taught in?
English. Our faculty also teach in Marathi and Hindi. Samhita Vachana is taught in English with Sanskrit shlokas, with Marathi and Hindi explanations where natural.
Do I receive a certificate?
Yes. Each program issues an AMRUT AYU ACADEMY certificate of completion. Course completion does not confer any government-recognized degree unless explicitly stated for specific programs.
How much do the programs cost?
Fees depend on the program and format. We share the exact fee when we reply to your inquiry. Samhita Vachana is free.
When do the next batches start?
Batch dates are announced per program. Send an inquiry and we will share the next available dates. Samhita Vachana runs every Sunday, 4:00 to 5:00 PM IST.
How do I apply?
Send an inquiry through the Contact page. We reply by email with the program that fits you, the fee, and the next batch dates. Once you decide, we guide you through registration.
I live outside India. Can you help with travel?
Yes, we share practical guidance on travel and stay in Pune. Visa rules are set by the Government of India, so please check the official portal, indianvisaonline.gov.in, for current requirements.
How do I join Samhita Vachana?
Send an inquiry and choose “Samhita Vachana” as your program of interest. We will email you the joining link. Registration is free.
