AMRUT AYU ACADEMY is the teaching arm of the Amrut Ayu family in Pune. We teach Ayurveda the way it is practised: from the Samhitas, through reasoning, into the clinic.
Our Philosophy
What Makes a Complete Vaidya?
A Vaidya is the classical term for an Ayurvedic physician. The Charaka Samhita describes the qualities a Vaidya needs to succeed in treatment. Our name for the academy’s approach comes from the first three.
Vidya (Knowledge). Command of the shastra. Every course begins with the classical text, read closely.
Vitarka (Reasoning). Clinical judgment. You learn to think through a case, not only to follow a protocol.
Vignyan (Applied science). Knowledge proven in practice. You see each principle at work on real patients, under supervision.
Smriti (retention), Tatparata (dedication), and Kriya (practical skill) complete the picture. We build all of them, one batch at a time.
Why We Started the Academy
For years, young doctors and visiting students have asked to sit with us in the clinic. They wanted to see how a classical protocol meets a real patient. The academy is our answer. We teach what we practise every day across our five AMRUT AYU CARE™ clinics, and we keep batches small so every learner stays close to the work.

The Physicians Behind the Academy
Dr. Prashant Amrutkar
Founder Director
M.D. Ayurveda and PhD Scholar in Panchakarma, with 15+ years of clinical practice. His clinical focus covers Panchakarma, men’s health, pain management, and digestive disorders.
At the academy he leads Panchakarma certification, clinical protocols, and research mentorship. He teaches in English, Marathi, and Hindi.
Dr. Amruta Amrutkar
Co-founder
M.D. Ayurveda with 12+ years of clinical practice. Her clinical focus covers women’s health, paediatric Ayurveda, skin care, and Garbhasanskar.
At the academy she leads the Garbhasanskar workshops and the Stri-roga and Kaumarbhritya modules. She teaches in English, Marathi, and Hindi.

AMRUT AYU CARE™ treats patients across five clinics in Pune: Ghorpadi, Hadapsar, Wagholi, Kharadi, and Viman Nagar. AMRUT AYU ACADEMY teaches inside that same network. The clinics keep our teaching honest. The teaching keeps our clinics thinking.
Our aim is simple: authentic Ayurveda education, rooted in the classical texts and practised in real clinics, open to doctors and learners from India and abroad.

Every topic starts in the Charaka and Sushruta Samhitas.

Supervised exposure to real patients across five clinics.
Small Batches
Enough room for questions, discussion, and hands-on practice.
Each program issues an AMRUT AYU ACADEMY certificate of completion. Course completion does not confer any government-recognized degree unless explicitly stated for specific programs.
